Devlog 1: Sprite Animations

The setting for the Adventure Game Studio game that I want to make takes place in a small creek filled with minnows, crayfish, and more. You play as the minnow sprite and within the game talk to the crayfish who is an NPC. The seaweed serves merely as an animated decoration in the map. SInce you play as the minnow, that was the sprite that would need the most fine-tuning when it comes to animations, and because of this it was the spriteset I spent the most time on. While animating a fish is different from animating a human, the fundamentals are still the same and I found it more similar than expected. This was also a lighting style that I am not used to so it was fun to try something new. The pipeline went smoothly, with the most difficult part about it being adapting to a new art style and touching up the animations of all three of these sprites.
